What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a dry powder. The coating is applied electrostatically with a special powder gun and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a solid coating. Powder coating is used to create a hard finish that is uniform, durable and tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as automotive parts, wheels, ATV parts and motorcycle parts. Any metal that can withstand roughly four hundred degrees can be powder coated.

Powder coating is used on a variety of products in the every day world. Many companies utilize powder coating for its attractive, yet extremely durable finish.
